8 week program FAQ

At least few times a day, someone emails me or asks on Instagram about the 8 week program, and while I always reply to every email, personally, I figured it would help if I put most common FAQ’s in one place. That way, not only might it be useful to you, if you’re considering the 8 week program, but, full disclosure- it means I can be lazy and simply resend this anytime someone ask some thing I’m about to cover.

Q) What is included in the 8 week program?

A). You will get four individual workouts per week, customized to your physical shape. The workouts will be adjusted according to your evaluation.

I will be available for a consultation to map out your road map to success.

You will be given nutritional software and guidance to help me evaluate your diet, and assured success.

Your app also includes a chat room, so you can get answers to your questions from my staff and your fellow members.

You will receive weekly emails with relevant research.

Q) Is there a guarantee?

A) Yes. If for any reason, you’re not happy, just let me know within 30 days of purchase, and I’ll happily refund every penny you paid.

Q) How is this different from peloton or any other personal training program online?

A) With most virtual programs, like peloton, you are simply watching a video and trying to keep up with the instructor. Sometimes it works, most times it doesn’t.

The 8 week program was built with you in mind. Starting with determining your level of fitness and then increasing it in balanced fashion, weekly.

The 8 week program is built to self improve constantly.

You simply have to keep up, evaluate, rinse, and repeat.

Q) I don’t have time to exercise. If I commit, how can you guarantee I’m not wasting mine with you.

A) I cannot guarantee that you will succeed, but I can guarantee that I will do my part as your coach to give you best chance at success.

In the past 30 years, I tried all diets, all training systems, and I chose only the principles that were most successful in my female clients to implement in the 8 week program.

In fact, you will be the benefactor of my previous thousands of clients and their experiences.

I believe that if  you give me two hours a week of exercise time and follow my 2 diet principles, you will be leaner, tighter, more energetic, and in total control of your body.

This workout program was just my way of adding the next step to being healthier. It is challenging, and I have to modify things because I am not in great shape, but I have enjoyed it so far and so sticking with it. Thank you guys!

Janea (BBR 1)

I want to chime in & say how much I'm enjoying the program too! l've never done intermittent fasting and while it's hard, I'm already seeing a difference too!!

Ashley (BBR 1)

I too am loving it. Haven't dove into the intermittent fasting yet - will add that in next week but the work outs have been easy to follow, quick and effective for sure.

Megan (BBR 1)

After emailing Vol my update he asked if I would be willing to share a little bit of my experience with this course (:
I started this class just to feel a little bit stronger, more balanced, feel hopefully back to the way I was before my two pregnancies, but not necessarily to lose weight because I am exclusively breastfeeding my 4 month old and cannot cut calories / intermittent fast. So I was not expecting any weight loss.
I have lost 5 pounds without changing anything in my diet. (I eat well, but I also eat what I want) I was shocked when I checked the scale.
I love that I do not have to go to a gym, the workouts are doable / challenging, and OBVIOUSLY it's working!
Hope everyone is enjoying this program as well!

Olivia (BBR 1)

“Hello.
Not sure if this is the right email, but here goes. The workouts for me are too much. The 1st workout I had difficulty but I did finish it. I feel like on the other workouts I am just doing 90% modifications. My weight, and because of my knees, the clock lunges are not doable (at least not until I loose more weight) I keep doing the week one and trying to increase my steps and working on the intermittent fasting and reducing the carbs.

I am down 6 pounds. That’s a plus. The knees hurt less on the squats. I am careful when doing the planks and try to hold the belling button in. Sit ups are a no for me because of my back. So I do bridges.

Thank you for your encouragement and the app that makes it so easy to follow.
Kindest regards,
Angela

For anyone else that struggles because of their weight, I say don’t give up. Do what you can and find modification for each exercise if it’s difficult. That’s what I do.

I tried the crunches, I knew better because of my back, but still did them and sure enough I could stand up straight for two days. But I keep trying. It is helping. Every little bit helps.

Also, THANK YOU to this community. Reading others posts and comments helps me to keep going!

About 2 months ago, I bought a pair of dress pant for work that overall fit well but were a bit tight in the thighs. I thought that if I just lost a little weight they would fit perfectly, and I was going to work toward that goal. Although they had pockets, I didn’t remove the stitching to make them functional because I was afraid they would gape - there was no extra material around the hips- and then be ill-fitting. I put them on this morning, and I was able to unstich the pockets without any gaping and I needed a belt! Prior to the routine, I had seen no progress in over 8 weeks with my regular exercise routine. After only 2 weeks on this program, these pants are now bordering on too big. In order to exercise, I wake up at 4:30 am. I have been doing this religiously for almost 2 years, and although it has kept additional weight off, I have never lost until now! Definitely more motivated to wake up early now!

Loving the accountability the app holds me to! Excited to be a part and already "feel" better!

Dani (BBR 1)

Hi! I’m Bonnie from Chattanooga, Tennessee. I’m obsessed with the three workouts I have completed so far! I have been been doing weight training for several months but I’m ready to slim down and tone. I like the non nonsense of the app and simplicity. I also like the food accountability.

Bonnie (BBR 1)

I have really enjoyed these workouts.  In the past, I have had a hard time staying with a program b/c either it's been too challenging and I am crazy sore that I given up or it's just too time consuming.

This workout routine has been so easy to stick with!  The workouts are challenging but not too hard.  I am seeing my core/back getting stronger (I have had back issues in the past).   I really hope there is an extension to this program once the 8 weeks is up.

I love that the app counts down for you too!

Thank you for offering this program to the Instagram people!!!

Just completed my first full week of the program. The workouts are great and give just the right amount of challenge. I've never been a morning workout person but l've made the switch and it feels awesome.

Although getting up before the sun can be tough, it's a perfect start to the day. I feel more refreshed and energized. Thanks for the push Vol and Jenny!

Stephanie (BBR 1)

Hi! Excited to share my progress today! I started working with Vol in July after seeing Jenny talk about him. I have lost 12 pounds and fit into jeans I haven't worn in over 6 months this week! Vol's program definitely works. Cheering you all on!

Jennifer (BBR 1)

Loving this program! Perfect for a busy schedule and my ADHD brain.

Vol, do you mind posting a technique how-to on clock lunges? When going backwards, I'm just awkward.

Thank you!

Kathryn (BBR 1)

I just had a great to with Vol! His advice is top notch. I used to be a runner but have never done a workout program, ever. I am truly enjoying his program. I'm at a little over a week of intermittent fasting and doing his workouts. I have lost 4 pounds and more importantly I feel so much better! Thank you Vol and Jenny!

Karin (BBR 1)

Yay! That's awesome. I'm loving the program as well. I've been doing intermittent fasting for a while now and I love it - I feel better and actually do better working out before my eating window. I thought I'd struggle working out with no food but find it actually helps me! The first day I thought the exercises were pretty easy but boy am I feeling it now. Love it!

Kimberly (BBR 1)

Anyone else already thinking about what Part 2 BBR AKA workouts with Jenny looks like? I’m ready to sign up because I don’t want to loose my commitment and momentum! Love the progress I’m seeing and feeling!!! Thank you!

Lindsey (BBR 1)

I’m super super excited! It took me almost four weeks to be completely in…just life but I am so in now and fully committed to making better decisions in the kitchen!

Bonnie (BBR 1)

I have really enjoyed the workouts!! They have given me a new variety of workout that I feel is improving my functionality/flexibility.

During my call with Val, he asked me to get on here and discuss my situation since it’s so similar to other people. Similar in that after going through menopause, I find my self with a 30 pound weight gain and prediabetic.

It really all happened over the last 3 years. I wish I had the magic solution on how to lose the extra pounds, but I haven’t been able to find what works for me as far as weight loss. I have, however, found something that works for decreasing my hemoglobin A1C (a blood test that measures your average blood sugar over last 2-3 months) and has put me in the top of the normal range (I’m still working) and that is fasting and walking (at least 30 minutes a day).

I am a pharmacist, and I am not against medications, but I’ve found a way to stay off of them , so far. I’m not talking about a 18 hour fast either. I don’t find 18 hours to be long enough to make a difference. My goal is 3 alternate days of fasting for 36 hours. It took me a while to build up to that, but it is working. They say fasting is like a muscle that you have to build up.

If you are looking for alternatives and want to try fasting, I recommend (this is not a paid promotion) watching the videos by Jason Fung, MD on YouTube. He is a nephrologist that has done extensive research on fasting. He and his colleagues also have a podcast called The Fasting Method Podcast. He also has books that you can buy and read, but the YouTube videos and podcast are free and contain a wealth of information on how to get started and maintain fasting.

Pam (BBR 1)

Hi everyone, I started late so I just finished my 2nd week. This last week I had to work a few 16 hour days so I walked in place to get my steps and did my workouts when I got home. Sometimes they we done at 9 or 10 but I got them done. Also, I was able to do intermittent fasting 3 days and I’m down 3 pounds.

So happy for this group and Vol’s team. Im ready for next week.

T (BBR 1)

I had my appt with Vol today and once he explained more, it’s super easy! Don’t go to workouts, go to activity calendar and open video. Once completed the workout send him message in how difficult it is on scale 1-10. Then he will adjust your workouts for the next week! Very easy! Excited to get started and see some Toning in the next 8 weeks!!

Rachel (BBR 1)

I still have one more workout to finish but I am really enjoying them! I am looking forward to seeing my progression over the 8 weeks.
